It's the little things...CTMH Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH November SOTM Blog Hop.
If you just came from TweetScraps, you are on the right track,
If not, don't worry as this is a circular hop and you will be able to see Morgan's  at the end of the hop.

Below is the Stamp of the Month (SOTM) and it is available only for the Month of November.
There are two ways to get your very own set.  Purchase it outright at the full retail cost or place a qualifying order and receive it for $5.  Available through CTMH Consultants in  Canada, USA, Australia & New Zealand. To purchase through me click here (will open in a new window)

This is a darling little set.
And
I have seen some awesome artwork with this set,
However,
I was stumped on how to use it.
I don't own any good markers--yet, and this set seemed to lend itself to that kind of stamping.
I tried a few designs, but trashed them.  And then thought...why don't I just flip through one of Close to my Hearts' cricut Cartridges, and  BINGO!
That's where I found the inspiration for the card below.

I cut the "card" out of black cardstock.

Then pulled out the Scaredy Cat paper pack and in minutes I had created this card.  I stamped the sentiment on a banner and then added a few random leaves.  Quick & Simple.
Hope you like it.
Now off to Carol-Anne's Blog to see what she has created

Cross Canada Halloween Hop--Scary Cat Mini Album

in our blog hop today, click here or contact your local consultant to place an order.
We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback
from our viewers.Thank you... now on to our hop!
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop,  If you came from Sandra's blog
then you are in the right place!
I must confess I did not create this mini album.
It is the work of my 15yr. old daughter.  Hope you like it.

She started with a retired chipboard album.   (I have been hoarding these and only have a couple left)
I cut her a random number of Halloween images from
CTMH's Artiste & Artbooking Cricut cartridges.
She used our NEW Scary Cat Paper Pack to cover the pages

And then she raided my stash of retired CTMH Halloween stamp sets.

Then she added some of the new Pathfinding Embellishments

 Added a few journaling/photo boxes
and she was done.

I think she ended up with a pretty spook-tac-u-lar album.
Just in time for Halloween.

Below is a close up of one of her pages.
I love how she placed the black spider web on the black B&T.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Jan's Works of Heart
If you get lost along the way, you can head to Michelle S Blog,  as she has the complete blog list.

Tuesday's Tips--paper clip banners

Oh my, oh my.
Ever see something that just sets you back to far that you're amazed you hadn't thought of it?

That was the case with these paper clip flag/banners
that I saw on Katy's Blog
(click on her name to visit her blog)

They were sooo....cute, and I thought, I can make some of these
And I did.
Here's my first one

I bought the largest paper clips I could find.
Cut a 1 1/2" x 2" rectangle
out of New England Ivy Cardstock
scored it at 1 1/2"
Added some washi tape
a cricut cut snowflake
a bit of bling
And I was done.
Super simple.
Now to create a project to use this on.

And that's my tip for this week.
Buy Paper Clips
Keep your eyes open
 and Think outside the box.
Who new that a paper clip could add so much to a card or layout?

Tuesday's Tip

Reinforcements,
yep that's this week's tip.  Stock up on reinforcements, you know those little white circles that you had to put on your loose-leaf pages in school, cause the pages kept tearing out of the binder.  Well, they work fabulously when you are building the cover of a mini album.

I put them on the inside sides (bit of a tongue twister there) of two pieces of cardstock
and then sandwich another piece of cardstock between the two pieces to create a fairly sturdy, stable cover.  (see pictures below)

After this you can decorate
and come up with something like this.
and those tiny little reinforcements will ensure that your "holes"
stay perfectly round.

Yep, this is what has up taken all my time this last month,
a surprise Un-Birthday Party for my daughter
Thank you so much to my talented niece for painting this for me
(Inspired by pinterest--click here to see the original pin)

The Album/guest book

I filled the album with tons of tags and quotes from Alice in Wonderland.
Next step--Studio J the pictures, so I can size them to fit in the mini.

A few pic's of the Party
The Awesome cup cake bouquet, created by a talented lady from Manville, AB

The photo booth area with some of the guests.
