Tuesday's Tips

So, I'm late with this post...really, really late.
Which brings me to this week's tip.
Time Management.  Sometimes, despite the best of intentions life gets in the way and you forget to schedule in your weekly post.  That is a really good excuse, but doesn't really work for this instance.  Because, I knew I was going to be stupid busy, I should have created this post a couple of weeks ago when I had time.  Instead, I have nothing and you get to listen to me ramble.

However, I will leave you with a few pictures of daughter's sweet 16 un-birthday party.

Tuesday's Tips

Sometime all it takes is just a little embellishment to make your card go from nice to Nice.
My first card is nice, perfectly fine.
I could have sent it out.
However,  I wasn't really happy with it.
It looked just a bit, unfinished, so I added  a couple of triangle studs
(see bottom card)
and voila!
It looks much better.

So, that's this week's tip, a little embellishment, like adding a couple of studs, can have a big impact.
The durable studs  I used are available through me or your local CTMH consultant.

Tuesday's Tips--Spin Your Ink

This week's tips focus on storing your ink pads and PML (picture my life) cards,
I know, this is not super exciting, but if you're like me you have over 60 stamp pads,
so where do you keep them?  If you stack them up, the one you want is always at the bottom.
Which is why I love  Close to my Hearts'

Exclusive Inks™ Organizer

I had to save up for this, but I love it.  It's portable, spin-able and just plain adorable.
And available thru CTMH.  You can order yours thru me
or by contacting your local Close to my Heart Consultant

So now that you have your ink all organized let's consider this little gem

This little baby is only $16.50 and was designed for My Acrylix stamps, but I use it for so many other things...

It's perfect for storing PLM cards
( I have 4 sets of  PML cards in the one pictured below )

or for designing cards on the go...
everything you need fits in the box,
the stamp, ink, envelopes, card bases and pre-cut pieces.
 Just Grab & Go.

30 Years of Happy CTMH Hop

Welcome.  Let me just say this is one of the BEST promotions CTMH has offered.
And all this awesome artwork in this blog hop proves it.
You should have arrived here from Michele's

My project is totally out of my comfort zone.  It features really bright colors.
As you can probably guess, it's part of a mini album, which is also a gift.
So, I won't be sharing the rest of it for quite a few weeks.

However, I will share a this tip.
Base & Bling Adhesive is super strong.  And is therefore, perfect for a variety of applications.

As you can see this allows for the tag to be pulled out by the ribbons, with no fear of them pulling loose.
I also use the base & bling adhesive when I am adhering small embellishments to embossed surfaces.

Tuesdays Tips... Bag it & Scrap it.

All of Close to my Heart's Paper Packs come in 12 x 12 ziplock bags.

My tip... KEEP THE BAGS
I store my paper packs in the bags they come in.  If I need a second paper pack, I add the scraps from the fist bag to the new bag.  So I only have ONE bag of each theme.  This makes it easy to keep track of my supplies and it gives me extra bags.  Bags that I can use to keep works in progress in.  Or that I can use for kits that I make.

And my second tip for this week is
Get yourself a SCRAP BOX
I used to try and save every little scrap and then save them by color or theme and this darn near drove me mental.  So now when I am done creating a project, I put all the big scraps back in the paper pack bag and then the rest goes into my scrap box, which I donate to the elementary school.  They love it.  I also toss all my Ooops' in here as well. This is one of those win-win situations.  The school kids win because they get a box full of awesome paper scraps and I don't drive myself crazy.

Next week tip...
(sorry, no hints)
