100!!!

I try and check in (on my side of this blog) daily.  Just to see what's new.  Do I have a viewer from Ireland, has my Canadian audience finally caught up to my American friends, is anyone looking at my work.  So I was pleasantly surprised to see that my list of followers has reached that magical number 100.

I just want to say Thank You!!

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Janet's Blog  or you can stay for awhile and I will walk you through a quick tutorial

This is a quick tip, ink the inside edges of your bracket in the same color
as the paper you will be covering it with.

I used Close to my Heart's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut a perfect fit.
(p. 53 size--fit to page--using a 12x12 mat) Then I traced the opening and cut it out.

I added a black mat to the inside (which is why I used black ink around the edges)
you can see how I attached the mat to the back side of the paper, leaving only a 1/4 showing from the front. (see below)

The zip strip is located on the edge of your 12 x 12 piece of paper
one side is decorative and the other has the product info on it.
I matted the 8 12" long zip strip on black cardstock

I added more dimension
by using one of the Chantilly Assortment fabric buttons
for the center of the flower

And a final look at the finished project
I added a couple of black flourishes and some bitty sparkles to "bling" it up.

Now on to Janet's Blog

Studio J--Trixxie--ied

So one of the reasons I have been lax in publishing started with a 7 pound bundle of fur.
So cute,
so cuddly
so much flippin work
and they don't take naps like people babies.
so have a look and hopefully, I can get back to creating real soon
