February-CTMH- Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to my take on this month's SOTM
If you were just at PAM"S Heart Art you are on the right track.
I love this month's stamp of the month

2_13_SOM_image
....It really lends itself to so many scrapbook layouts.
To create the layout below
I used barn red cardstock and two of the new paper packs,
Buzz and Bumble (X7164B)
and Surf's Up (X7168B)
a little burlap ribbon,
some cocoa ink around the edges and Voila!
I mights add a couple of wooden "bees" when they arrive.

Next stop on the hop.... Priscilla Paperie

It's not just an idea...

First of all....
I have to tell you why the  "Close to my Heart" catalogue is an idea book
(this is my reason, although it may be corp's reason too)
Each page showcases the products and IDEA's of how you can use the product.

See the layout below
the IDEA for this came straight off of page 59 in the Spring & Summer Idea Book.
Granted. It is not exactly like the one in the book
But who cares.
That is where the IDEA came from.
My friend Misty, put this together for me.
It will be perfect for her son's pictures of all his lego creations.

And in case you have been waiting to order that "perfect" paper from the Fall & Winter Idea Book.
Quite waiting and order now, because in 3 days,
that Idea Book is gone.

The Ultimate Family History Book-intro

I have been toying with the idea of creating a family history book.
One that works.
One that can easily be added to.
One that is not limited to conventional methods of publishing.

And finally,
I think I have created the perfect design.

And Close to my Heart has created the perfect paper for this.

"For Always"

a selection of black & white patterned paper
with hints of yester-year and cocoa.
This is the perfect paper for a multitude of projects.
Below is what some of our corporate artists came up with

This paper is in the new idea book, and will be available to order Feb 1st.
I am busy working on a sample page for my history book
and will post it as soon as it is camera ready.

Puppy Perfect?

you should not get a puppy for your teenage daughter
if you are over 50
if you actually think she will spend time with it
if you work at 6am every second weekend
if you want to get any crafting done
if you want any quiet time.

You should just have your head examined.
(My appointment is next week)
On the up side....when I have some quiet time to scrapbook, I will have some really cute puppy pictures.
