Welcome to my Blog. I have a bit of a squirrel mentality. I love to be creative, but I do tend to get distracted easily. Although this blog focuses mainly on paper crafts, I am also the proud owner of Shirley's Flowers and Friends in Beautiful Three Hills, AB. I hope my posts, inspire you to be more creative, and bring a smile to your face. And if you're ever in rural Alberta stop in at the shop.

MIA
I know I have been missing in action, this last little while.
But I am busy creating a few things for the Edmonton Regionals (Sept 7th & 8th)
However, I will give you a couple of clues
I am using
this paper pack....
X7162B Pear & Partridge
check back tommorrow and I will post a close up of a portion of one of my creations.
In fact I will drop a new clue on to the blog every day from now until Sept 5th.
Wonder if you can solve the mystery??
What am I creating??

mini album--challenge entry
I recieved the Liebster Award
Candra of Paper DragonFluer has nominated me for another Liebster! This is truely an honor.
A little about the Liebster. This is how it works...
Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," "Favorite," or "Dearest." This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.
RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog .Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!
(oh, just to let you know...I did just cut and paste the above info from Candra.)
One of the fun things about recieving this award is that it challenges you to view more blogs,
to search for fellow creative persons
and brighten their day--just a bit--my acknowledging their talent.
Okay,
and now for my favorite five....
drumroll please
and in no particular order....
Holly from Keep those Scissors Flying
Angela from Stryders List
Becky from Becky's Studio
Melissa from Melissa's Scrapping Place
Joanne from Jo's Scrapbooking
Be sure to visit these ladies (they are all super talented)
and see who they pass the award on to.
This is such a great way to expand your creative circle.

On the road again....
Ever get one of those songs stuck in your head. One of those songs that just won't go away??
Well this is mine for today, so I thought I should share it.
Now, it may be stuck there because I am going "on the road again" to visit my friend in Kelowna
and will be stoppin' by to visit a fellow consultant, Joanne Jay (click here to check out her blog)

Another reason to join CTMH
Close to my Heart is one of the best (scratch that)
Close to my Heart IS the BEST company to be a part of.
I am always amazed at how they can inject a little "Fun" in to everthing.
Like this contest for consultants.
