Studio J--WOW--Amy you are amazing #2

With time being such a hot commodity,
I often use Studio J to "scrapbook" the majority of my pages,
but have often stressed over the very issue that Amy address in the video below.
What do you do when your picture doesn't fit into the picture well??
When it crops off "important" details??
Watch and learn one way to combat this problem.

If you would like to learn more Studio J tips & technicheqes,
contact me (if you live in Canada)
or contact Amy (click here)  if you live in the United States.

thank YOU!!

Sometime in life, we forget to say "thank you". Two little words, that mean so much. I would like to take this time to
Thank YOU,
for viewing my blog & leaving comments,
that is what inspires me to create more.
So, thank you.
P.S.
I have a few things in the works, that should be posted in the next few days.

Studio J--WOW--Amy you are amazing

I love Studio J,
It's fast, affordable and beautiful...
Anyone can scrapbook beautiful layouts, in minutes and then share them
**on the coffee table in an album
**on your blog
**on pinterst
**there are countless options--because if you are a Studio J member,
you get a hard copy (a truely amazing 12x12 layout) and a digital file
for less than a gourmet cup of coffee.

A fellow consultant Amy Ulen
has a blog full of tips and techniques to make your Studio J life even better
(click on her name to see for yourself)
take a look at this video she posted on youtube

tips and techniques--binder clips

Gloria, from Scraptabulous Studio has an awesome way to "flatten" your binder clips.
I love these little clips,
but never ordered any because they were too dimensional for me.
But now, thanks to Gloria, I am ordering some

Creative ideas--got none, again

Every once in a while I think the merry-go-round is going just a tad too fast for me, and I end up doing ...nothing.
Can't scrap,
can't clean (although, I can usually find reasons to dogde this anytime)
can't read
can't seem to focus on anything...
anyone else get these moments??

Another Liebster Award

I am deeply honored to have been awarded this award from Joy, a fellow CTMH Consultant,
Check out her blog  ..............Wow................. did you make that?

As with any award, there are rules (ughhh!!)
However, Liebster rules are pretty simple.

First---a little history:
Liebster is a German word that means beloved or favorite.
This award is only for blogs with fewer than 200 followers,
so up-and-coming bloggers are recognized for their creative works!

And now (drum roll, please)
Here are the rules to accept this award:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award and rules on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
5. And most of all - have fun.

Okay, let's tick them off.
1.   Thank you, Joy (click here to visit her blog)

2.   My top 5 picks
      *** Delores Byrne  http://scrappnheartsofthehighdesert.blogspot.com/
(I recently discovered Delores, and she is very talented)
         **Jody Gustafson http://cre8nmemories.blogspot.com/
(Jody has almost reached the 200 member threshold,
probably because her stuff is amazing
another reason I nominated her for this award is her name
"Gustafson" reminds me of  our local Guzoo)
   * **Angela   http://tuttonstreasures.blogspot.com/
    ***Theresa   http://www.tmorrowstreasures.blogspot.com/
    ***Michelle  http://michelleshandmadeworld.blogspot.com/
3.  rules, copied & pasted
4. have faith (okay)
5. have fun (!!!!DONE)

Ode to my town

I live in a small rural community in Central Alberta.
A place of  farmers and fields
students and teachers
parents and children
I live here.
I did not record this, or write this
but I love it.
It feels like home to me.

5 x 7 1/2 mini--pemberly paper--instructions pt 2

From March 4, 2012

this is the first page of a little mini I whipped up this weekend
at a craft for cancer retreat.
I was going to show you pics of the album splayed (is that a word??) open
but I sold it and forgot to take a finished project pic.
so please bear with me as I show you

this will flip up in the album

From March 4, 2012

One of the things I did when I started this album was to stamp
half a dozen of these flowers (C1494-card word puzzle)
cut them out
ink the edges and then added some stardust Glitz glitter to the center
and set them aside to dry.

From March 4, 2012

I wanted a pocket on this page
so I could just stuff some photos' in it
I cheated and
glued the flap down on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 envelope
and then cut it in half lengthwise (I now have two pockets 2  1/8 x 5 1/2)
then I just trimmed it down to 2" wide
adhered it to the page and then added a decorative strip over top.
Instant pocket

From March 4, 2012

I love the zip strips that are found on one end of each of CTMH  B&T's
one side is a decorative 1/2 border (which I used on this page)
and the flip side has all the paper pack info--colors and product code.

I also stamped some of the smaller flowers & butterflies (found on C1494 --card word puzzle)
cut them out & inked their edges before added them to the page

Hint--when starting a project like this I like to pick a few stamped images that I will use throughout the album.  I stamp about 6 or 7 of each, cut them out and have them ready to add where needed

From March 4, 2012

I also stamped a flower from the Workshop on the Go (G1033)
cut it out and used some 3D foam tape to make it pop off the page.

(I forgot)
but I used a zipstrip, and then double matted a small rectangle

How to Books

Close to my Heart has announced that they will be retiring their How-To Books.
Despite being featured in the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book,
quantities for these titles are extremely limited and inventory will not be replenished once we run out.
We anticipate running out of some of the How-To Book titles as early as this month,
so if you have been waiting to order one or more of these books,

I own all of these books, and they are well worth their money.

Unfortunately the little 5 x 7 1/2" album has been discontinued,
but I will be creating an album that will work with these pages
in the next little while.
As a quick fix, you can always bind the book together
with some 3/4" binder rings.
